Artist interior

The former packaging centre of the ENCI cement factory now hosts the multi-disciplinary AINSI complex (Art-Industry-Nature-Society-Innovation). A robust example of 1950s cultural heritage, and constructed out of bricks and concrete, the building is situated at the foot of the Pietersberg (Mount Saint Peter)on the banks of the River Maas. It is the place to be in order to enjoy dance, theatre, concerts and lectures. The exterior of AINSI may appear shabby, but inside it is packed with slick retro design in all forms, ranging from cosy spaces with chairs and rugs from grandma’s time to stark rooms made of steel and concrete.
