Marie Lormeau, oorspronkelijk uit Frankrijk, begon pas aan haar filmcarrière toen ze in Zuid-Limburg landde. In 2021 kreeg ze steun voor Le Trajet, een persoonlijk project over een moeder-dochterrelatie, in de vorm van een verhit gesprek tijdens een autorit. Inmiddels is het project al een tijdje klaar en is Marie bezig met de distributie. Daarover wordt ze aan de tand gevoel in deze podcast.

Euregionaal

Marie is een Franstalig filmmaker. Merkte ze iets van het Euregionale karakter van het Limburg Film Fonds? “I was very surprised how open it was. For example for this project, when I applied to the Limburg Film Funds, I was really thinking: it has a certain relevance to Limburg and the money spent on the film will be paid back to the province, because I will hire people and facilities from Limburg. But still it is not a story about Limburg – it is not even in Dutch. In the end I still received a positive reply. So yeah, I found that really open-minded.”
