Ventriloquist Gerard and his crazy puppet Billy have been an immensely popular theater duo for twenty years. They easily fill the largest halls and together belong to the absolute top of Dutch cabaret. Behind the scenes however, things don’t go so well between Gerard and Billy. Billy doesn’t only outstrip Gerard on stage during those years, but also outside of the theater he’s now completely in control: Billy determines Gerard’s life.
