Synopsis

Wies (14) is an introverted and sensitive teenager who lives and works on a care farm. She is of the ‘climate depression’ generation that suffers from, the realization that climate change will have such hugely devastating consequences that it leads to a state of mourning or absolute despair. Wies doesn’t want to leave her room anymore, stays in bed and watches the world collapse before her closed eyes. The memory of her childhood, where the grass was still green and the sun untouchable, seems like a vague
non-existent dream.

But Wies realizes that with her apathy she is not going to save a world. She decides to take matters into her own hands and starts keeping bees at the care farm. In a voice-over we hear her musing on Her desire to be a good person. To be of significance. We, as viewers, are left with the question whether she actually keeps bees or daydreams about it.

Neha (16), a new resident at the care farm, tries to make contact with Wies in various ways. with Wies in various ways. Wies is not interested, yet cannot quite repress her affinity for Neha. Just at the moment when she has decided that her happiness should be secondary, something light has wandered into her life. Can she resist it?
