Lambert, a lonely introverted widower, unexpectedly receives a phone call from his daughter Claire. He is shocked to no end. Claire, with whom he has hardly any contact, wants to bring her two young children to him. She and her new love are going to Paris for a long weekend. At first Lambert doesn’t know what to do with his grandchildren, whom he barely knows. Then he thinks of something that will make them want to stay with him.
